Suzy Amis Cameron first worked as a model (signed by the prestigious Ford agency), and as an actress.
After twenty-three films, including
The Usual Suspects
in 1995, she stopped filming in 1998, shortly after
Titanic
.
She co-founded with her sister, in 2006, the Muse School, an alternative school in California described as a "utopia" by the
Los Angeles Times.
The establishment, whose entire electricity would come from solar energy, would generate no waste.
The program would be adapted according to the students, half of whom are scholarship holders.
The private institution is the first in the country to notably offer an entirely vegan menu.
In the same vein, the American has also set up a farm (Cameron Family Farm) and an organic grocery store (Food Forest Organics) located in New Zealand.
Four previous wives
Of the five women James Cameron married, four worked in the film industry.
With the exception of Sharon Williams, with whom he married in 1978, at the age of 24.
The exception is explained: he was still a truck driver, and had just decided to devote himself to the seventh art.
Six years later, their divorce was pronounced and

(1984), his first great success, saw the light of day.
It was with the producer of this film, who helped him refine the script, that a year later, James Cameron sealed a second union.
Her name is Gale Anne Hurd and remains a renowned producer to this day.

1989 was a pivotal year in the romantic life of the director: he divorced Gale Anne Hurd and married another filmmaker, Kathryn Bigelow.
Notable fact: twice, the films of the couple of directors compete.
