Symbolic groundbreaking for a milestone in Pliening's history.
A new building quarter is being built on historical ground.
Completion: in two years.
Pliening –
Plieninger local politicians were already thinking about using a 4,500 square meter plot of land on Geltinger Strasse for the general public well over ten years ago.
All this became concrete three and a half years ago when the council voted on a development.
As has already been reported several times, a completely new building quarter will be created with a total of 33 rather small residential units with two to three-room units, which should have two properties in particular: They should be affordable and also be specially tailored to the needs of senior citizens.
These also include two shared flats and three guest apartments.
A total of four buildings including an underground car park are planned.
There will be a few smaller shops, a café, practice rooms.
A project,
as never before in Pliening.
Mayor Roland Frick therefore spoke yesterday at the symbolic groundbreaking ceremony of a "milestone" for Pliening.
Architect already has references on the Abtwiese in Hohenlinden
Architect Regine Gaigl and her team will implement the plans.
She has already implemented the retirement home in Hohenlinden on the Abtwiese.
However, the two projects are not comparable, she told EZ yesterday.
After all, every community has its own ideas and needs.
The declared goal is to create a mixed structure
Our newspaper reported several times in advance because numerous archaeological and not insignificant finds were made on the site.
Over 2000 in total.
Most of it was recovered.
A well will remain for the time being, which is to be examined later.
According to Mayor Frick, there are considerations to secure some suitable pieces and make them accessible to the people of Plieningen.
