"It's not a resort" - Bird Island still offers luxury

On the Airbnb page, landlord Fred writes that guests should be aware that the island is kept quite rustic: "It is neither a resort nor does it pretend to be one." Those who value it should look elsewhere .

Those who can handle it and see themselves as self-sufficient will be rewarded with fantastic snorkeling and diving spots in the crystal-clear sea around the atoll.

Kayaks and SUPs are also provided on the island itself, there is an outdoor grill, a swing with an unobstructed view of the sea, a bar and fishing is also possible.

If you don't want to switch off completely, you can use the internet or the television or use the small library.

The nearest town, Placencia, is 20 minutes away by sea.

This is also where the purchase is made before entering the island.

Bird Island is secluded and surrounded by a beautiful vacation setting.

And if you're disturbed by annoying neighbors, you've either brought them with you or it's the area's seabirds who occasionally drop by.
