In the northern area of the Buenos Aires suburbs, a municipality implemented a comprehensive security plan with vehicles other than those traditionally used to patrol the streets.
This is
Vicente López
, where they took to the streets a fleet of
motorcycles with the latest technology
, which will help the effectiveness of the tasks of prevention, deterrence, persecution and assistance in emergency situations.
The agents that joined the patrol were trained to provide the best possible care and thus reduce crime, responding more quickly.
The Commune gave them courses on different security techniques: they learned to drive the built-in motorcycle models, also to do
CPR and First Aid
, and to control the automatic defibrillators (AED).
They also participated in workshops on
Human Rights, criminal proceedings, victims' rights and guarantees
, and incorporated crime scene preservation tools.
New Vicente López Motorized Patrol
The motorcycles that joined the patrol are the
Kawasaki KLR650
, one of the most modern and best-equipped models, plus a unit with body cameras that allow recording all the procedures carried out by the agents, and the latest generation communication equipment.
The Vicente López Security area continues, on the other hand, incorporating technology for neighborhood surveillance.
There are already more than
2,100 HD video surveillance cameras
, almost 120 secure points, more than 265 security buttons in institutions such as clubs and municipal schools, and 12 police detachments in the nine neighborhoods of the party.
In addition, they work with innovative tools such as the platform for cases of gender violence and the digital control of access patents.
In turn, a Monitoring Center is under construction on Avenida Maipú at 2271, Olivos.
From there they will receive calls from neighbors, they will be able to monitor the cameras and respond quickly to any emergency 24 hours a day.
Depending on the case that is presented, access will be available to send to
SAME, the Civil Defense, the Patrol or the Fire Department
.
Until then, the only progress in the work is the demolition of an old building that fell into disuse and was recovered by the Commune.
New Vicente López Motorized Patrol in action
"The Motorized Patrol joins the comprehensive security plan -confirmed the mayor Soledad Martínez in the presentation of the new fleet-.
Many years ago we made the political decision to be able to carry it out and today we support it very firmly, what we promoted with Jorge Macri today we are continuing.
The conversation with the neighbors also leads us to improve and demand ourselves every day.
And let the criminals know that if they come to Vicente López we will be prepared to defend our neighbors”.
"It is a very important day for the entire security team of Vicente López. We are adding a new fully motorized patrol unit that will be circulating, patrolling and monitoring each of the neighborhoods of our municipality," added the community chief.
