Earlier this month, a pediatrician was attacked by the parents of a patient at the pediatric clinic in Soroka Hospital.
The parents attacked him physically and verbally and the doctor turned to the emergency room for medical treatment.
The security team and the police stationed at the hospital were called and the parents were taken to the police for questioning.
In Soroka they said after the incident: "We vehemently condemn incidents of violence against our employees. It is unacceptable for patients or their companions to attack staff members while they are providing dedicated and professional care. This is a serious phenomenon that demands that the law be meted out and made as severe as possible with those who verbally or physically attack medical teams." .
