I thank (...) for such important decisions to
supply Ukraine with 60 Polish tanks, including 30 PT-91s, as well as 14 Leopards," Volodymyr Zelensky said on Twitter, two days after the announcement of the attack. Germany and the United States to supply heavy tanks to Kiev.
Green light from Germany
On Thursday, the Polish prime minister said in an interview with Canadian television CTV News that Warsaw was ready to “
send 60 of our modernized tanks, including 30 PT-91s
”.
He also repeated that Poland would send “
14 Leopard 2 tanks from our stocks, in our possession
”.
Mateusz Morawiecki also indicated that since the beginning of the war, Poland "
has already delivered 250 tanks (...) and even more than that
" to Ukraine.
These are mostly T-72 tanks of Soviet design.
PT-91 tanks are a modernized version of T-72.
The type of the other 30 tanks was not specified.

After weeks of hesitation, the United States and Germany announced on Wednesday the delivery of heavy tanks to Ukraine, taking a new step in military support for kyiv in the run-up to a possible counter-offensive in the Russian invasion.
Berlin has also given the green light to other countries to supply German-made Leopards to kyiv.
Since this announcement, several countries have also declared that they want to deliver heavy tanks to Kyiv.
