According to the publication in "Al-Akhbar", the Jordanian ruler expressed his displeasure at the disclosure of the assets he transferred abroad • "Abdullah complained that the heir to the Saudi throne is preventing the transfer of aid to Jordan"

The Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar, close to Hezbollah, reported this morning (Saturday) on accusations leveled by King Abdullah of Jordan against the heir to the Saudi throne and former adviser to the US president.

According to documents leaked to the newspaper, in a February 2022 meeting with Jordanian media, King Abdullah expressed dissatisfaction with "media campaigns" directed against him and his family members, especially his wife Rania.

This is against the background of publications about their accounts in a Swiss bank.

This is a disclosure called the "Pandora Papers", according to which Abdullah transferred approximately 100 million dollars to tax havens abroad.

According to the Lebanese report, which has no confirmation from another source, Abdullah stated that there is a desire to dictate a certain agenda to the kingdom and that Jordan will not allow the conspirators to break it.

When asked about their identity, according to the report, Abdullah mentioned his adviser and son-in-law of the former US president - Jared Kushner.

He also referred to a "large Arab country" without naming it, but said that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman "is conspiring against Jordan and preventing Arab countries from being responsible for providing aid to it."

On the other hand, Abdullah referred positively to the Emirates, Kuwait and Iraq at the meeting.

The report stated that the Jordanian security services suspected that Bin Salman's adviser - Bassem Awadallah - managed a relationship between the Saudi Crown Prince and the Jordanian Prince Hamza, who was placed under house arrest, before his arrest in 2021.

In this context, the newspaper wrote that information was received in the Gulf in the summer of 2021, according to which Saudi Arabia did not express support for an attempted coup against Abdullah, but also did not oppose it.
