At 63, and a success that has lasted for more than 40 years, the artist believes he has had
“a lot more good times than bad”
in his life.
But that does not prevent him from being also inhabited by
“even more apprehension”
.
“Is my proposal still going to be of interest”
he asks himself on the occasion of the release of his eleventh album.
In this new opus, he evokes intimate themes, such as the absence of his father, who left the family home when he was only one year old.
"I walked into the blue of my first child's eyes"
Today, they have reconciled and his family has been rebuilt.
“With my father, things settled down nicely and settled as soon as my first child was born.
So it's been almost 20 years now that I found my father and that my children discovered a grandfather ”
declares Patrick Bruel, happy in front of the cameras of TF1.
Nikos Aliagas then asks his guest if he is trying to be a better father than his was.
“We do our best.
As far as I'm concerned, I don't necessarily have patterns to reproduce, so I moved forward in the blue of the eyes of my first child and my second child, ”
replies the singer.
Today, he lives between La Provence, his region of heart and Los Angeles, because his children live there:
“In any case, I have the feeling that we achieved something with their mother.
We have achieved something very strong,”
he concludes.
