Russian astronomer Gennady Borisov said: The international scientific community has recognized that the asteroid “YG 2022”, which was seen for the first time last month, is a new quasi-moon belonging to Earth.

And the Novosti agency quoted Borisov as saying: On the 15th of last December, he was able to discover a quasi-moon belonging to Earth, the asteroid “YG 2022”, indicating that its size is approximately 20 to 30 meters, and its cycle period around the sun is one year.

Borisov added: In total, 6 to 7 quasi-moons of Earth have been discovered so far, and they were all captured at a certain time by the gravitational field of our planet.
