This week, taxi drivers from Cancun, Quintana Roo —one of the most important tourist destinations in Mexico and the most popular in the Mexican Caribbean— tried to block the work of drivers affiliated with the Uber platform.
This after a court granted this transport company a protection to operate in the state.
The decision was not liked by some taxi drivers who even threatened and physically assaulted the Uber drivers, but also their passengers, as videos on social networks showed.
CNN spoke with two of the people, a passenger and a driver, who were attacked during these protests in one of the affected vehicles.
