A violent explosion occurred this evening (Saturday) at the ammunition production center in the city of Isfahan in central Iran - this was reported by the official Iranian TV, citing a security source.
He added that there were no casualties in the explosion, but did not elaborate beyond that.
"The explosion occurred at one of the defense ministry's ammunition production centers and according to a statement from the deputy head of the political and security department of Isfahan province, there were no casualties," official television reported.
In recent years, there have been a series of mysterious explosions at nuclear and military sites in Iran, which have been attributed to Israel.
