Shavas punished security prisoners in solitary confinement for expressions of joy after the attack on the synagogue in Jerusalem | Israel Hayom

In a number of security prisons, security prisoners expressed joy in the form of chants and applause regarding the attack last night (Friday) at the synagogue in Neve Ya'akov neighborhood in Jerusalem.

All the prisoners involved were punished in solitary confinement and in several units there were break-ins to the wings and general searches.

The prison service stated that it is "prepared to take decisive action against any breach of order and discipline in its facilities and will continue to deal harshly with any prisoner who acts to harm the dignity of the citizens of the country and their safety. Our hearts go out to the families of those killed and we will not allow further harm to them."
