Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Oleg Syromolotov revealed that the United States is preparing to launch cyber attacks against Russia, recruiting hackers and training a Ukrainian electronic army.
"The United States is putting its aggressive doctrines into effect, and it does not hide that the cyber command is carrying out operations against our country, and we are well aware that Washington is working intensively on recruiting mercenary hackers and training a Ukrainian electronic army," TASS news agency quoted Syromolotov as saying in a statement. The United States, contrary to the wishes of the majority of the member states of the United Nations, is openly militarizing the information space.
Commenting on the report of the British newspaper “The Times” about the British cyber security forces employing experts in information technology who are fluent in the Russian language, Siromolotov said: “This matter is not strange, as the British target Russia with its capabilities in the information field on a regular basis, and there are regular trainings, including under Sponsorship of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization “NATO” to conduct strikes using information and communication technologies on Russian sites of vital information infrastructure.
Syromolotov indicated that training is under way to launch attacks on Russian government institutions in Kaliningrad and the energy system in Moscow, stressing that Britain is working to promote hatred of Russia on the Internet and distort the truth about Russian foreign policy in the Western media.
