Seven civilians were murdered in the severe shooting attack last night (Friday) in the Neve Yaakov neighborhood in northern Jerusalem.
The terrorist was neutralized about a kilometer from the scene of the attack, but the severe results of the attack raise several question marks, first and foremost regarding the response of the police, whose station is located about 300 meters from the scene of the attack.
In the Neve Yaakov neighborhood residents claimed yesterday that the police took a long time to respond and arrive at the scene.

One of the residents claimed that his daughter called the police when the shooting started, but it took the police twenty minutes to arrive.
The police reject the claims and say that from the moment the many calls were received at the police headquarters until the terrorist was neutralized, about five minutes passed.
The police presented a schedule backed up by technological means, according to which, at 20:13, the terrorist arrived on Neve Ya'akov Boulevard and began firing at short range at civilians passing by on the street.
The testimonies of the residents who were on the street and in the houses and heard the sounds show that at first they thought it was fireworks from one of the surrounding Arab neighborhoods, but residents who witnessed the shots immediately understood what it was about and started calling the police.
The first call, the police say, was received at 8:14 p.m.
Dozens of calls began to flow to the police's call center 100, and at that time the terrorist continued his shooting spree for less than a hundred meters along Neve Ya'akov Boulevard, shooting everyone he saw, then got into his car and began a fast drive along Neve Ya'akov Boulevard towards the west - when on the way, on the main road, there is a police station judge
Despite this, he did not encounter any policemen during his escape.

The police identified the terrorist's vehicle, tried to make contact and in the exchange of fire with the terrorist, he was killed.
The skill of the terrorist, the fact that he fired continuously from one gun, without stopping, and even managed to change cartridges while firing, indicates a very high skill in operating a weapon.
And here, too, question marks arise regarding the poor intelligence.
How did the terrorist, a resident of A-Tor in southeast Jerusalem, who managed to acquire standard weapons and trained well for the event, manage to slip under the nose of the intelligence, reach a neighborhood at the other end of the city and massacre seven people, not far from the police station.
