The men arrive at the door asking for Rhonda, Kelly and Nicki, supposed prostitutes. But living in the house is Elaine White, 66, who has asked for help unraveling how her home address ended up in the hands of the strange visitors.

A retired woman from Plano (Texas) has denounced that she is "fed up" with receiving at her home men who knock on her door expecting to receive sexual services from her, and the police have installed cameras in the neighborhood in response to her complaints.

Elaine White, 66, says she has been harassed by more than two dozen men who have knocked on her door at all hours since April last year.

White says the men have told her they paid money via Venmo to obtain sexual services from women associated with that particular address.

The men mentioned looking for women named Rhonda, Kelly, Nicki and other names.

The last visitor, he said, arrived at his residence on January 16.

"I feel violated

," White told NBC News on Friday.

"My house is the space where I feel safe."

White's story was first published on the NBC Dallas website on Wednesday, prompting police to visit her on Friday and set up a visible traffic camera near her home.

The camera, mounted on a trailer, is capable of rotating 360 degrees to capture all views of the neighborhood.

“(The camera) is rolling constantly,” Plano Police Officer Jennifer Chapman said.

"I hope it's a deterrent to anyone going there to do what he's doing."

These last few months of unwanted visitors have left White understandably scared.

"It's very scary," she said.

The men who have come to White's door come from different cities in Texas.

In April, a "client" from Laredo, about 500 miles (800 kilometers) from Plano, sat on his porch with a carton of beer and a bottle of whiskey from midnight until 2 a.m.

“The man told the police that he was there since 12 and that he was going to wait another 10 or 15 minutes,” according to White.

“(I assumed) that 'Kelly' was going to go looking for him.

He saw two cars parked outside my house, so he thought it was his turn to wait.”

Men who have visited White have been open with her about the reason for their visit.

"You have the wrong address"

In one incident caught on security camera installed at his door, a man said he was there to "meet someone named Rhonda."

“For drugs or sex?” White asks the man.

“Um, the second one,” the man says.

"Well, you know what, you've got the wrong address and I'm giving you 10 seconds to get out or the police are going to get you," White was heard telling the man before he threw up his hands, did a 180-degree turn and ran off.

White owns a .357 caliber Smith & Wesson handgun and says he's not afraid to use it.

The woman has a sign on the door of her house with the image of a gun and the phrase: "Warning: This door is closed for her protection, not for mine."

“Look at the sign on my front door.

Get off my porch,” White is heard saying to a man wearing his work shirt with the company name on it.

White says she has received a lot of support from neighbors and former co-workers who live nearby.

They were the ones who helped her install a security camera on her door and have not stopped visiting her to make sure she is okay, the retiree said.

“This is a quiet neighborhood and these are the people I've worked with for 41 years,” said White, who worked as an executive assistant for a company that sold parts for oil refineries.

"They have their own families to take care of, but they keep visiting me just to see how I feel."
