Twenty-four people were killed when a bus fell off a cliff in Piura, north of Lima, the capital of Peru.
Xinhua quoted local police as saying today in a statement: “The accident occurred when a bus carrying 60 passengers derailed and fell off a cliff after leaving Lima towards the city of Tumbes on the border with Ecuador, killing 24 people and injuring others.” Rescue teams continue their work at the scene.
