An earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale jolted northeast of Tupelo, Indonesia, without reports of injuries.
The European Mediterranean Seismological Center stated today that the tremor, which occurred at a depth of 145 km, was monitored 29 km northeast of the city of Tupelo, where 10,000 people live, without issuing any warnings of a tsunami.
