A fisherman died after being accidentally shot in Salma, Lattakia.
And the Ministry of the Interior stated in a statement today that the day before yesterday, the Slenfeh sub-district of the Al-Haffah district announced from the Salma police station the death of the so-called (Awadis.a), born in 1973, after he was shot while a group of people were hunting in the Hazarin Valley in the town of Salma. Immediately a patrol went from the station. To the place, and the body was transferred to the Latakia National Hospital, and all the fishermen were arrested, namely (Hagob. Y., (Karo. A.), (Wans. N.), (Yamen. N.), (Tafeet. A.) and (Khorin. A.), They confiscated eight hunting rifles, one hundred and fifteen live rounds, and four belts intended for storing bullets, and impounded two cars for them in cooperation with the sub-district.
The statement indicated that, upon investigation with the fishermen, they admitted that a bullet fired from the gun of the so-called (Hagob) while it was being reloaded and hit the victim unintentionally, indicating that the necessary control was organized and the arrested persons will be duly brought to justice.
