The branch of the General Fodder Corporation in As-Suwayda has borrowed about 500 tons of bran from the Umm Al-Zaytoun Mill, in order to provide for the needs of livestock.
The director of the foundation’s branch, lawyer Wael al-Najm, explained in a statement to SANA’s reporter today that the rented quantities are distributed within the centers of the foundation’s branch in Shahba, Al-Mushnaf, Nabe’ Ira, and Salkhad, according to the currently opened fodder cycle, at 6 kilograms per head of sheep and goats, 15 kilograms for camels, and 30 kilograms for cows, in case The unavailability of its allocations of ready-made milk and the breeder's desire to obtain bran.
Al-Najm indicated that the Foundation has embarked on a project to create a land bridge within the center of the town of Al-Mushnaf in the eastern countryside of the governorate, at a cost of about 130 million pounds.
The branch of the General Establishment for Feed in As-Suwayda sold more than 10,000 tons of bran over the past year.
