Britney Spears against her fans: "Stop making me doubt my sanity" | Israel today

2023-01-29T10:16:53.250Z

Following the incident of the apparent nervous breakdown in public, deleting and restoring her Instagram account, and after the police were invited to her home for fear of her health, the 41-year-old pop star breaks her silence and leaves an unequivocal and poignant message to her fans, who she claims crossed the line and invaded her privacy unjustly

Britney Spears is angry again, but this time she directs her anger specifically at her fans, claiming that they violate her privacy and even gaslight her (emotional manipulation that causes a person to doubt their perception of reality; ed).

For the benefit of those who find it a little difficult to follow the dramas in the life of the 41-year-old pop star, we recall that in the last two weeks Spears managed to find herself starring in the headlines after what appeared to be a public nervous breakdown while spending time at a restaurant with her partner, deleting and restoring her Instagram account, changing her name to River Red and the latest incident in the chain: the police were called to her home last week by fans who feared for her safety, after she deleted her Instagram account again.

Last Wednesday, Spears needed drama, as she wrote in a tweet she shared with her 56 million followers on Twitter: "As everyone knows, the police were called to my house after receiving prank calls. I love and appreciate my fans, but this time things went too far and my privacy was violated," she wrote.

"The police never entered my house," she clarified.

"When they got to the gate, they immediately realized there was nothing and left immediately. I felt like I was being gaslighted," shared Spears angrily.

"It's an act of bullying that made headlines and is again framed in an unflattering and unfair way by the media," she added.

"At this time in my life, I really hope that the public and my fans, who I love so much, will respect my privacy from now on. Love, Britney," she signed the tweet.

Yesterday (Saturday) the pop star added and expanded in several more tweets about the reason why she disabled her Instagram and her anger towards the excessive intrusion into her privacy.

"Yes, it's me. Healthy and whole," she tweeted accompanied by a video of her smiling at the gym.

"I deactivated my Instagram account because too many people said I looked like an idiot with my dancing and that I was crazy. Honestly, I do the best I can, but it bothered me to see people talking about it freely on TV. Yes, it hurt my feelings." The singer asked to clarify.

Yep that's me... I'm alive and well.

But not really convinced on these health juices🥤, I mean there are SO MANY!!!

Yoga and chest call me in 🧘🏼‍♀️.

I do it inside, outside, wherever I fancy... this is me at a gym living my best life 🏋🏼‍♀️ !!!

"I'm sensitive, and honestly I prefer to take a break and concentrate on my ice cream diet. I was shocked when fans called the police to my house when I closed Instagram. I really love my fans, but it was very inappropriate," the star asked to emphasize again how much the act hurt her.

"Honestly, I felt it was done to make me look bad. It traumatized me. This time I stood up and stood my ground. Would you believe it?

"So know that I'm doing the best I can. I'm alive, I'm healthy and everything is fine. So to my true fans: may God bless you," she concluded her words.
