They tried to smuggle drugs worth millions of shekels:
the Rishon Lezion Magistrate's Court today (Sunday) recently extended the detention of the four young women who were arrested at the beginning of this month in Israel on suspicion of trying to smuggle drugs of the cocaine and ketamine type from Germany to Israel. They are suspected of having hidden cosmetics and bottles of shampoo with drugs worth NIS 15 million.
At the end of a two-week accelerated investigation, the investigators of the Benghazi region claim to have solved the "pink suitcases" affair, in which the detectives of Unit 747 arrested four women on suspicion of smuggling 15 kg of cocaine and ketamine. The arrest was made after an undercover investigation based on quality intelligence of the police detective unit in the region National Highway

The investigation focused on the collection and analysis of the various findings to establish the evidentiary infrastructure against the suspects, including the examination of documents and the passage route of the four between continents, the collection of evidence, the analysis of financial transactions, questioning and investigation, alongside the use of additional technological means, to advance the investigation, including the examination of the involvement of additional suspects.
Finally, according to their claim, the investigators were able to establish a criminal infrastructure that links the 4 suspects to the current smuggling, and the suspicion of carrying out additional smuggling, on a number of different dates during the past months, from different countries.
The prosecutor's office submitted a prosecutor's statement today, according to which an indictment will be filed in the coming days against the young women whose detention was extended by five days.
With the judge's decision to extend their detention, the four burst into tears.
