Ilya Sosansky, 25 years old, is one of the seven murdered in the shooting attack that happened on Friday in Jerusalem.

He worked as a bartender in the city and was murdered on the way to work, while riding a motorcycle.

Ilya grew up in the Neve Yaakov neighborhood, where the attack took place, and was the middle child between a younger sister and an older brother.

"We grew up together from age zero. We were best friends all these years and in the same group. We slept and ate at each other's houses, his parents raised us," said his friend Sharona Yadgrove.

"They always say about people who are murdered, he was a good person, but you can really say that about him. Even when everything was going to shit, he saw everything as good, always made everyone laugh. There was no evil in him. A person of peace. He left before time, before he saw the world and had children."

"What a loss to the world."

Dozens of Ilya's friends and acquaintances paid tribute to him on social networks.

Some of them knew him through the nature parties he took part in in recent years.

For him they were more than entertainment: Ilya worked as a DJ under the name "Ananda", and was known to many by this nickname.

"I am shocked, I have no words. What a sweet man, what a loss to the world. Your smile will remain here forever, that's for sure," wrote one of the friends, and another admitted that at first he thought it was just a rumor: "I can't digest it and I can't believe it. They took you dear brother Always with a smile on your face, that's how I knew you. Rest in peace my friend."

The "Cactus 9" bar where he worked remained closed yesterday following his death.

"You chose every minute anew to live this life with courage and perfection and to conquer the world," wrote a co-worker.

The night before the massacre he was still on duty.

"On Friday at 06:00 in the morning I got to say thank you with a last hug at the end of a shift, I didn't think it would be one at the end of life. You were a master of cheerfulness, a Tasmanian devil and always with a smile."

Former Knesset member Abir Kara also knew Ilya.

"It is so difficult to talk about you in the past tense. You are a charming boy. Talented, full of joy for life, loving people, with a lot of modesty and humility," he said about him on Twitter.

"You didn't have an ounce of ego. You gave everyone a good feeling. I called it Merhav Ilya."
