Penny Wong, symbol of a multicultural and peaceful Australia


PORTRAIT – The Australian Foreign Minister, who is working for reconciliation with Australia's partners, is in Paris this Monday.


Along with the Minister of Defence, Richard Marles, who already came to France last September, it is one of the most interesting personalities in Australian politics who is making his first official trip there on Monday.

Back in government since the Labor victory last May, Penny Wong is a 54-year-old, openly gay woman born in Malaysia.
