Against the background of the Histadrut's threats to open a labor dispute with the Ministry of Finance over the conditions of the assistants, a pirate strike continued this morning (Sunday), during which they did not come to the gardens - and as a result, they did not open.
In a number of cities, even today, helpers issued sick leave and did not come to work and the kindergartens remained closed.
This is a move of the last few days in which groups of assistants are calling for a pirate strike and not to come to work - by taking sick days.
Today, urban kindergartens (3-6) have not opened in a number of cities such as Rehovot, Eilat, Beer Sheva, Holon and more.
A similar move was led by the auxiliaries last Thursday and paralyzed hundreds of gardens in Ramat Hasharon, Rosh Ha'Ein and the like.
The auxiliaries claim that they were promised an increase in wages starting this month, which has come true and they intend to demonstrate in front of the Histadrut House.

It should be noted that the Histadrut is threatening a helpers' strike that will paralyze the kindergartens, and if there is no intervention, the entire system may shut down.
The Histadrut Maof, which represents the auxiliaries, have already said that if there is no breakthrough in the negotiations with the Ministry of Finance and the Minister headed by Bezalel Smotrich to improve the working conditions and wages of the auxiliaries, the chairman of the Histadrut, Arnon Bar David, will announce a labor dispute and organizational measures will be taken. Two weeks from now When the labor dispute is announced, the Histadrut will be able to disable the system of assistants - and the meaning, an education system that is not functioning.
And in the meantime, the ones who pay the price of the strike and the closed kindergartens are the parents, Tal, mother of a girl in a municipal kindergarten in Rehovot said: "My daughter's kindergarten has been closed since Friday, and it was also closed today. This is a terrible form of strike. I and other parents justify the struggle, but absolutely not in this way ".
According to her, many dozens of kindergartens in the streets have not opened: "The assistants went on an Italian strike, this is not an acceptable way. The harm is only to the parents and children, when it is not organized and unorganized, no one will listen to the complaints. Everyone in this country decides that they take the law Hands down, just terrible."

Irit Treves, a medical assistant at a school in Rosh Ha'Ain from the protest leaders, says: "Our salary is simply a disgraceful salary, I have a 50 percent job and I don't scrape by the 3,000 shekels a month. Many assistants have to work two jobs to close the month. This is not an amount In contrast to a teacher, when an assistant moves to work in another local authority, her conditions and rank can be harmed. The feeling is that we have no back, no one to protect us. We are threatened by the municipalities - everyone who sat last weekend received a summons for a hearing before being fired."
The office of Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich did not provide a comment.
