Daraa-Sana
Recreational and sports activities, competitions and a recreational trip for children and adolescents, which were included in the intensive program developed by the cultural window of the town of Jabab in rural Daraa, from the beginning of the midterm vacation and lasted for two weeks.
The head of the window, Muhammad al-Rahum, stated in a statement to SANA’s correspondent today that the program included a group of recreational physical activities, competitions and sports competitions that varied in closed and outdoor places and gyms, including a special workshop in the sport of throwing force and self-defense under the supervision of coach Hussein al-Rahum, and interactive workshops to encourage reading and development Talents in the field of eloquence and rhetoric, and screenings of short films and cartoons aimed at promoting human values.
Al-Rahum pointed out that the program, which falls within the framework of workshops for developing life skills for children and adolescents, with the aim of benefiting from vacation days and investing time by combining fun and benefit, culminated in an initiative titled (Together We Are) to strengthen the bonds of love, brotherhood and peace, which included an educational trip. Entertaining the neighboring villages and visiting their archaeological sites, with the participation of trainer Anis Raadiyah, who provided children and adolescents with an explanation of these monuments and civilizations that the region witnessed.
Trainer Wafaa Noureddine found, with a similar statement, that the benefit that children and adolescents gained within this program was represented in cultivating values and building a creative generation according to sound foundations that contribute to the consolidation of positive values in society.
Coach Hassan Al-Rahum indicated that the children were taught some sports movements and trained on how to defend themselves by teaching them in an entertaining atmosphere.
A number of children and adolescents expressed their happiness at the experiences and knowledge they received within this program to develop skills and talents, especially that it gathered fun and benefit, and they hoped to repeat it in the summer vacation.
