Today, the Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Lattakia organized two catering seizures against two bakeries in the countryside of the province, with fines amounting to about sixty-one million Syrian pounds for violations of the smuggling of rationed flour, underweight bread and trading in the black market, in addition to other violations in separate areas.
The Director of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Lattakia, Ahmed Zaher, told SANA reporter that a supply seizure was organized against Al-Huwaiz bakery in the countryside of Jableh, violating a shortage of the supply of flour, diesel fuel and yeast. Fifty-four million eight hundred thousand Syrian pounds. He also organized a catering seizure against Adnan Hindi bakery in the village of Salib al-Turkman, violating weight loss by tying bread and possessing thirteen bags and twenty-two kilograms of ration flour, hidden and prepared for illegal trade. The violator was fined six million pounds. Syria, indicating that the violators were taken to the competent judiciary to follow up the legal procedures in accordance with Decree No. 8 of 2021.
Zaher added that thirty-four catering officers were organized with violations that include not announcing prices, possessing expired materials, practicing a profession without a license against a plastic injection facility, not possessing a cost statement for a factory for pet products, not possessing an invoice for purchasing car parts and foodstuffs, and charging excessive wages. The right of a service driver in Al-Hafah and Jableh and not to give invoices to a wholesaler.
Zaher pointed out that eight samples of food and non-food items were taken to conduct the necessary analyzes and to show their conformity with the Syrian standard specifications.
