About a year after a 36-year-old Palestinian committed indecent acts on a 14-year-old girl in a public garden in Kiryat Ono, he was arrested at the checkpoint when he intended to return to Israel.
An indictment has now been filed against him and a request for detention until the end of the proceedings, which attributes to him the commission of an indecent act by a minor.
About a year ago, in the afternoon, the accused met the girl while walking with her dog in the dog park in Kiryat Ono.
He started talking to her and she headed back to her house and in an attempt to stop her, the respondent sat down on a bench, grabbed her hand tightly and said to her "Where are you going while we're still talking?".

The defendant asked for her phone number.
After she refused, he asked her her age and she replied that she was about 14 years old, and he answered her: "Oh, well, you're mature and you have a mind."
Even though he knew it was a minor, the respondent continued trying to get the phone number, introduced himself a second time and extended his hand for a handshake.
In response to this, the complainant held out her hand to him and the respondent grabbed her hand, pulled her to him, hugged her tightly and caressed her back, while whispering to her that she was beautiful and that he wanted to get to know her.

When she released from his embrace, the defendant continued to hold her waist, brought his face closer to her and tried to kiss her on the mouth.
The complainant in response moved her face back, removed his hands from her and said "it's not appropriate".
When she turned to leave the place again, the respondent grabbed her hand and pulled her towards him in an attempt to stop her.
Only after she called his request to his cell phone, did the accused allow her to leave the place.
During the past year, the police tried to summon the respondent for questioning several times, but he refused to come, and was arrested only about ten days ago, at a police checkpoint when it became clear that an questioning was needed.
In her testimony, the girl gave the respondent's phone number and name.
She also described that the respondent insisted on continuing to be in contact with her by phone, and sent many messages to the phone even after she blocked it.
The police also collected the testimony of the girl's mother who told the next day about the incident.
In her message, she described the sequence of events as described by the complainant and also told about the emotional state of the complainant, who was agitated and anxious.
