Amazon customers will be faced with more shipping costs in the future.
At least if you don't have a Prime subscription.
Munich – Amazon customers have to adapt to an innovation.
From now on, orders will have a higher minimum order value for free shipping.
So far, deliveries from a value of 29 euros were sent free of charge.
But now the shipping giant has raised the threshold.
Free shipping is therefore only available from a value of 39 euros, as reported by

Amazon: That changes with shipping
However, nothing will change for customers who have an Amazon Prime subscription.
You can still order products with the Prime label without shipping costs.
Amazon last increased the minimum order limit for deliveries without shipping costs in August 2014.
At that time, the amount rose from 20 to 29 euros.
Amazon is increasing the minimum order value, but the shipping costs remain the same.
So if you order products for less than 39 euros, you continue to pay the usual prices.
Deliveries of media products, computer and video games, clothing or Amazon products are subject to a shipping fee of EUR 2.99.
For all other products, shipping costs 3.99 euros.
It gets a little cheaper if the products are delivered to a pick-up station.
Then only 2.99 euros are due.
Amazon: These shipping exceptions apply
There are exceptions for so-called marketplace dealers.
So for sellers who only use Amazon as a sales platform, but regulate the shipping themselves.

There are also special rules for books.
There are no shipping costs here.
On the other hand, if you order films or video games that do not have a youth rating, you have to pay a flat rate of five euros for shipping.
For e-shishas and e-cigarettes, which may only be sold to adults, the cost is three euros.
