After almost ten years, Elisabeth Baulitz returns to the side of Hans Sigl and Co. in "Der Bergdoktor".

In the ZDF series, however, she now plays a completely different role.

Ellmau – Shortly before the turn of the year, the 16th season of “Der Bergdoktor” started on ZDF.

There was not only a reunion with Dr.

Martin Gruber (Hans Sigl, 53), his brother Hans (Heiko Ruprecht, 50) and the other main characters of the doctor series, but also with a well-known face: Elisabeth Baulitz (49) has been part of a total of seven episodes since 2014 since 2008 ongoing success story.

The picturesque Alpine scenery is deceptive, because a family drama is taking place at the Gruberhof in Season 16: The quarrel between Dr.

Martin Gruber and the Pflugers really escalated recently.

But although the series itself is currently highly dramatic, the ZDF viewers could look forward to the return of a well-known face on Thursday (January 26) – but not everyone recognized Elisabeth Baulitz.

From 2014 to 2015, the 49-year-old had already taken on the role of Mia Thalbach in seven "Der Bergdoktor" episodes.

As a reminder: almost ten years ago, the pretty teacher tried to win the heart of Hans Gruber in the course of the story.

At that time, love was even a reason for the separation between Hans Sigl's serial brother and the "Wilder Kaiser" landlady Susanne Dreiseitl (Natalie O'Hara, 46).

Criticism of the "Bergdoktor" - specialist journal for doctors criticizes the ZDF series:

"Der Bergdoktor" may be well received by its viewers, but there has already been criticism of the series from a professional perspective.

The Deutsches Ärzteblatt

 characterized protagonist Dr.

Martin Gruber as an uncooperative know-it-all whose everyday life in series has little to do with the actual medical profession.

The ZDF series is full of clichés and conveys the "classic image of doctors from the old Heimat films".

Elisabeth Baulitz again at the side of Hans Sigl in "Bergdoktor" - but in a new role

In episode 5 of season 16 ("Im Netz"), Elisabeth Baulitz gave her "Der Bergdoktor" comeback.

This time, however, she does not embody Mia Thalbach, but Katja Becker, a patient who is resistant to advice and who does without Martin Gruber's medical expertise and would like to treat herself.

She doesn't look too much like her former role: her brown wavy mane has been swapped for a stricter, dark blonde hairstyle.

The 49-year-old has also proven herself as an actress in other well-known productions, including "Tatort", "In aller Hoffnung" or "Die Rosenheim-Cops".

However, she is no longer part of the violent family drama that keeps the viewers of the doctor series in suspense.

Martin Gruber recently had to confess the big “Bergdoktor” lie to his brother Hans – and then left the farm!
