A person was injured Monday in a knife attack in Brussels, which occurred in a metro station in the district of the European institutions, announced the Belgian police who arrested the assailant.

Attack close to the European Commission
The federal police told AFP that a person had been injured during the attack, which occurred around 6 p.m. without providing information at this stage on the motivations of the latter.

".
According to an AFP journalist present at the scene, several plainclothes police officers would run around 6 p.m. to a platform at the Schuman metro station, located a few dozen meters from the headquarters of the European Commission and the European Council.

A woman then urged passengers entering the station to turn back, reporting the presence inside of a person armed with a knife.
