This Sunday, the couple published an extensive open letter against these rumors.
"Several days ago we have been receiving a flurry of questions and intensity from the media and especially from gossip programs about an alleged news claiming that we had decided that
our daughter would be recognized as non-binary," he
began writing in his post Camilo, who has more than 27 million followers.
"We deeply respect the people who make this decision, but it is not our case. They took out of context some videos of interviews where we referred to Indigo in a neutral way because until the day she was born
we never knew her sex because we never did an ultrasound
," continued the artist.

At the same time, Camilo said that with his wife they were going to let go of the rumors but that they finally decided to go out and talk.
"We thought not to pronounce ourselves on the matter, and to let it pass, as we have done the 50 times that they have said that

"But we found the number of messages of hate and judgment that we received disturbing" -he stressed and continued- "and we began to think
how people from the LGBTO+ community, for example, could feel in the
face of a world that points at them, judging them, with fingers pointing and condemning".
The singer and his wife, Evaluna Montaner, had indigo in April 2022.
"Imagine how intense and complex it can be for a person going through such a recognition process, and finding themselves with a society full of stones in hand waiting for the first sign to throw them," added the composer from

At the same time, the artist highlighted the importance of respecting the personal searches of each person without judging.

he said.

Indigo was born on April 8 and since then fans believed that she was a non-binary baby.
