Despite his young age, kickboxing player Haider Al-Ghanoum won the gold medal in his first tournament in this sport, which was held recently in Damascus, after which a new stage in his sporting life began, with the goal of winning one achievement after another.
Al-Ghanoum, 10, explained in a statement to SANA that he started practicing kickboxing at the age of eight in the gym in Tartous under the supervision of coach Ali Al-Masry.
Al-Ghanoum added: I was able, in my first participation in the local championships, specifically the Republic Championship for clubs and sports houses for cubs and cubs, which was held recently, to win the gold medal in the 28 kg weight competition, indicating that he underwent a training camp 20 days before the tournament, as part of the preparation stage.
Al-Ghanoum's mother indicated that Haidar has high self-confidence and excels academically, and constantly seeks to organize his time between studying and training in the hall, calling on parents to pay attention to their children's tendencies to exercise because it disciplines the soul, stimulates the mind, and helps to empty the child's energy with a useful hobby that helps him increase his educational attainment. .
Coach Ali Al-Masry explained that the gold medal that Haidar achieved in his first championship is the result of his passion for sports and his commitment to training and all directives. He also possesses a strong will, high determination and intuitive quickness to implement everything new.
