The police said in a press release.

Accordingly, the accident occurred around 12.30 p.m. on the district road KG 39 between the Holy Cross Chapel and the waterless.
The 20-year-old from the district of Schweinfurt got his car off the road for reasons that are still unclear.

The young man suffered serious injuries in the accident, an emergency doctor could only determine his death.

In addition to patrol crews from the Hammelburg and Schweinfurt areas, the rescue service, a crisis intervention team and the volunteer fire brigades from Sulzthal, Gressthal, Euerdorf, Wülfershausen and Poppenhausen were also on duty, according to the press release.
In order to be able to precisely reconstruct the course of the accident, an expert was called in by order of the Schweinfurt public prosecutor's office.
The district road was closed for the duration of the accident investigation and rescue work.
