A 21-year-old man has been sentenced to four years and six months in prison by the Constance Regional Court for allegedly locking up his sister for months, beating her and sexually assaulting her.
The judge found him guilty on Monday of five counts of rape, ten counts of aggravated assault and 40 counts of intentional assault.
Constance - The crimes took place from January to May 2022 in the brother's shared flat in Constance.
The verdict is not yet legally binding.
According to a police officer, the two roommates had not heard anything about the crimes.
He had convinced his family that his sister was doing well.
At the beginning of the trial last Thursday, he was silent on the allegations.
His sister also made use of her right to refuse to testify.
