's note , which lives in trees) was born at the Menagerie.
The new kid on the block is a young Goodfellow's tree frog, an endangered species that has seen its populations decline by more than 50% in the past 30 years, according to the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).
"Goodfellow's tree-kangaroo is a small tree-kangaroo found exclusively in the central mountain range of New Guinea," the zoo said in a statement.
There are 12 species of tree dendrol, all native to Papua New Guinea and northern Australia.

He climbs trees, like bears
Unlike its terrestrial cousins, this juvenile therefore lives in the trees.
Its front limbs are sufficiently developed to cling to trunks and propel itself using its hind legs, as bears can do.
According to the animal care workers at the Menagerie, the baby was born in the summer of 2022. Indeed, “after a short gestation, female dendrolagues give birth to a fetus which will crawl to the marsupial pocket to complete its development there, explains the zoo.
It definitely leaves the pocket 8 to 10 months later.
