An amusing and strange case became a sensation in Japan: a local gamer accidentally documented how the fish in his aquarium took over the Nintendo Switch console - and changed his username.
And that was just the beginning.
According to CNN, the Mutekimaru channel regularly shows the tetra fish, which are able to activate the console using motion sensors.
The sensors follow the movement of the fish above the squares, each of which is associated with a different button on the controller.
The fish, who so far have already "won" Pokemon games by swimming in the aquarium, this time surprised the owners of the channel.
Mutkimaru took a break when he heard that the game had crashed due to a system error and found that the console had returned to the home screen.
However, the fish continued to swim normally and seemed to still be controlling the remote console.
Over the course of the next seven hours, the fish allegedly managed to change the user name twice and then entered the Nintendo Store, where additional games and downloadable content can be purchased.
According to Mutkimaru, the fishes also approved the terms of use, downloaded a new avatar and created a PayPal account.
And if that wasn't enough, the fish were seen adding 500 yen ($4) to the Switch account during the stream - and along the way, revealing Mutkimero's credit information to the viewers.
The chain of events can be seen here.
According to the gamer, after the incident he contacted Nintendo with a request to return the amount.
