With the aim of marketing crafts and manual works for people with disabilities, the (Disability Intilaaqah) initiative, in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor and the Human Resources Management Corporation, will organize the Charity Market Exhibition, next Thursday.

The exhibition, which is held at the headquarters of the Human Resources Management Corporation in Mazzeh, Damascus, includes handicrafts, accessories, food products, textile industries, children's dolls, paintings, and cosmetics.

Mona Amqi, the founder of the (Disability Start-up) initiative, explained in a statement to SANA that the exhibition aims to pay attention to people with disabilities to enable them and integrate them into the labor market, by promoting their products, which is psychologically important to them, and motivates them to develop their capabilities.

Amqi explained that the initiative works to enhance and build the capabilities of persons with disabilities, by holding vocational training courses in cooperation with a number of associations, and demonstrating their skills and abilities.

Amqi added: Every person with disabilities who has handicrafts and handicrafts can participate in the exhibition by contacting the initiative on the numbers 0990276525 and 0993991451, pointing out that the future plans of the initiative are to expand to the rest of the governorates and increase the number of beneficiaries of the training.

It is noteworthy that the (Disability Intilaaqah) initiative began in 2017 and focuses on spreading cultural awareness about persons with disabilities and securing job opportunities for them in the public and private sectors, in a manner commensurate with their competencies.
