A story that could have ended badly.
A driver filed a complaint on Saturday January 28, after being shot in the seat of her car while driving in Quevillon (Seine-Maritime) as reported by Paris-Normandy on Sunday.
The bullet shattered a side window of his car, finally ending up in his seat... A few centimeters from his head.
The driver, shocked, immediately filed a complaint, and the bullet was actually found in the passenger compartment.

The gendarmes tried to identify the place of impact and the area from which the shot came, to finally point out that a hunting party had taken place in Quevillon at the time of the events.

An investigation is still underway to determine if the projectile came from a hunter.
José Doméné-Guérin, president of the Seine-Maritime hunting federation, informed of this incident, remains cautious about the origin of the bullet.

While the number of hunting accidents has been falling for 20 years, their impact on public opinion is on the rise due to significant media coverage.
In 2021-2022, 8 fatal accidents were recorded, compared to 39 in 1999-2000.
