The Ministry of Public Works and Housing has allocated 552 residences for subscribers of labor housing in the suburb of Adra, rural Damascus.

In a statement to SANA reporter, the Minister of Public Works and Housing, Eng. Suhail Abdel Latif, during a tour he made of the Labor Housing Privatization Center, indicated that there are a number of procedures that facilitate the privatization process within the specified time, without any delay for the subscribers that the Privatization Committee adheres to, according to nominal schedules that have been set. It was announced in advance, indicating that the allocation will continue until the 2nd of next month.

The Director of the Public Corporation for Housing, Eng. Mazen Al-Lahham, confirmed that the process of allocating labor housing has included, since the beginning of this year, a number of governorates, where 1,462 dwellings have been allocated, distributed among 552 in Damascus, 500 in Aleppo, 260 in Quneitra, 128 in Hama, and 19 in As-Suwayda, in addition to For three residences in Tartous, which is the last residence in the working suburb of Tartous.

Al-Lahham pointed out that, in parallel with the allocation, the apartments that were allocated during the previous periods were handed over, and the housing units were recently handed over in Island 14 in the city of Adar, after all the services related to infrastructure, electricity and water were secured.

The director of the Adra housing branch, Eng. Fida Youssef, indicated that the allocation procedures are carried out in the presence of the concerned person or his agent, and in the event that one of the subscribers fails, the competent committee makes the allocation according to the priority number in the event that the subscriber is committed to paying the dues, pointing out that the housing that has been allocated has partial cladding The apartments will be delivered within a year.

A meeting was also held to discuss the procedures necessary to implement the restoration of damaged buildings in the Adra al-Amaliyah suburb, for which the Council of Ministers allocated in its previous meeting an amount of 3.100 billion Syrian pounds for the restoration process. population whose construction status requires eviction for a specific period, and how to secure its occupants to complete the restoration period and return them to their homes.

Minister Abdel Latif stressed the need for accuracy and speed, in addition to the implementation of the required quality in the restoration process and continuous follow-up to complete the work within the specified time schedule and according to the specified costs.

The assistant director of the Public Housing Corporation, Majd Mustafa, stated that the corporation will restore 27 buildings in Adra al-Amaliya, which were damaged by terrorism, based on the approval of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers for restoration and adding the amount to the investment budget of the ministry, provided that the implementation is under a contract that will be concluded with the public company. for construction and reconstruction, including a timetable and an implementation plan that takes into consideration securing temporary housing for the 295 families within the project area.
