Damascus, SANA - The People's Assembly followed up on its seventh session of the eighth regular session of the third legislative session

The People's Assembly, in its seventh session of the eighth regular session of the third legislative session, held today under the chairmanship of Speaker Hamouda Sabbagh, continued the discussion and approval of the articles of the draft law that includes the amendment of Legislative Decree No. 44 of 2005 and its amendments, on stamp drawing, and approved a number of its articles.

According to the aforementioned articles, the workers assigned to apply the provisions of Legislative Decree No. 44 of 2005 and its amendments, and who are specified by the central administration of the General Authority for Taxes and Fees and its directorates in the governorates, are empowered with the powers of the judicial police, and they take the legal oath before the president of the civil court of first instance, within the scope of which their work falls.

The materials include a set of fees specified for contracts of all kinds, declarations, authorizations and undertakings from the private sector, subscription contracts in water, electricity and telephone companies or institutions, insurance contracts, requests for participation in tenders or auctions, temporary guarantees, bills of lading, certificate of registration of an industrial or trade mark or invention, objection, reconsideration and certified copies of data. Customs, banking operations, bank account statements, summons and petitions to public authorities in their administrative and industrial sectors, decisions, judicial rulings, arbitration instruments, documents related to wills, legacies, donations, and others.

The session, which was attended by the Minister of Finance, Dr. Kinan Yaghi, was adjourned to 12:00 p.m. tomorrow, Tuesday.
