This is the second warning in four days, following the Koran burning incident in Sweden.
The United States Embassy elaborated that the "revenge attacks" could occur in tourist areas, such as the Beyoglu district, the Galata neighborhood, Taksim Square and Istiklal Avenue.
Similar warnings were also heard in the embassies of Germany, France and Italy in Ankara.

Last week, protesters burned a Koran near the Turkish embassy in the Swedish capital, Stockholm.
The burning of the Koran was done by Rasmus Floden, a leader of a far-right party in Denmark who also holds Swedish citizenship, who has already held demonstrations in the past where he burned the holy book for Muslims.
Several Arab and Muslim countries, including Saudi Arabia, Iran, Jordan and Kuwait, strongly condemned the burning of the Koran.
In response, Turkey has already summoned Sweden's ambassador to the country for a clarification conversation and canceled a planned visit by Sweden's defense minister to Ankara.
