Sales of two-wheelers fell slightly in Europe in 2022 with 1.2 million units sold (-0.9%), according to figures published Monday by the association of manufacturers (ACEM).
While the car market was paralyzed, 950,000 motorcycles (+0.1%) were registered in the first four markets of the European Union and the United Kingdom in 2022, compared to 880,700 in 2020 and 949,480 in 2021.

With 85,000 sales, the share of electric vehicles continues to increase: it represented a quarter of scooter sales in France in 2022, and almost half in Belgium and the Netherlands.
As for motorcycles, electric ones still represent less than 5% of sales, in particular because of their price, and their autonomy deemed insufficient.
