What to cook this week: menu day by day from January 30 to February 5

2023-01-30T09:22:48.716Z

A guide with options from Monday to Sunday, with savory dishes and a dessert to treat yourself on the weekend

Heat and more heat.

Summer continues with everything and it is necessary to accompany it with

good hydration and fresh food

.

In the latest installments of this weekly menu I have been sharing recipes for savory dishes with fruit... did you dare to try them?

For me, it was a one-way trip.

Since I tried salads with peach, cherries or grapefruit, I have not stopped implementing them.

This week, it's the turn of watermelon! A fruit that we can only enjoy in summer and that, due to its similarity to cucumber,

looks wonderful in a salad

.

Cut it at the time of assembling the dish and, even if it gives you fiaca, remove the seeds.

The dessert that I propose is super easy, a sponge cake with cream and peaches with a gourmet twist.

If mascarpone cheese is out of the budget, do not stay without preparing this cake.

Use a very dense cream cheese

and it will be spectacular.

Enjoy your week and this menu!

The combination is refreshing and tasty.

Feta cheese is a product of Greek origin, but it is easily available in cheese shops or boutique stores.

Even in the supermarket gondolas.

As a characteristic we can say that it is a cheese that is shelled by hand and that it has a slightly spicy flavor.

If you don't like it or you can't get it, you can replace it with a Parmesan or one of medium pasta.

As a garnish for grilled chicken or as a light dish accompanied with a salad, you will love this millefeuille.

The sauce is coconut and lime and is prepared cold by beating the ingredients.

Easier impossible!

Cotoletta Milanese.

This is the way they cook cotoletta in Italy, but keep it simple and cook it in oil, or a mixture of oil and butter, if you want to give it more flavor.

Pay special attention to the cooking time, since they are thicker milanese than we are used to.

Rice and Tuna Salad.

I love this salad.

I find it an ideal option for summer.

A dish that leaves you "pipon" and is healthy.

You can add the vegetables you want, and even a few pieces of cheese.

A crunchy dough with seeds and a creamy filling with ricotta and cheese.

If the ricotta is very lean, you can add a little cream or white cheese, for a lighter version.

6. Saturday, February 4

Chicken burguer.

Chicken Burgers.

Making them homemade allows us to play with seasonings and add vegetables to taste.

The lemon zest enhances the chicken mixture, don't forget to add it!

To make them more powerful, place a piece of mozzarella in the middle.

With the first bite, melted cheese will come out.

7. Sunday, February 5

Grilled stuffed bell peppers.

Grilled stuffed bell peppers.

Does it come out roasted?

Don't forget the vegetables.

They are great grilled and are an excellent appetizer or garnish for all kinds of meat.

In this case, we are going to add a bit of magic and the bell peppers will become cheese and egg containers.

For the white to fully cook, I suggest that you cover them with the lid of a pot or with a tall roasting pan turned upside down.

In this way the heat is enveloping and you will achieve a juicy yolk and the white very white.

The dessert of the week

Peach and mascarpone cake by Pamela Villar.

Peach and mascarpone cake.

Take advantage of fresh peaches to make this cake.

You can play with white and yellow peaches, and add bald ones that are very juicy at this time.

I recommend that you prepare it a day before -or the night before, at least- of consuming it, so that the flavors are blended.
