22-year-old Luke Bond and 21-year-old Sarah Duro are two fitness instructors with Barbie doll names who also lead a married life that can only be successful in movies and fairy tales - they met on Instagram in December 2021 and connected through "shared values" which is actually one value and is their healthy lifestyle .
"He asked me a few questions about fitness, since he also does personal training," Doro told SWNS about the content of their early conversations.
"The second time he approached me, I already felt like I knew him, which made me feel a little more comfortable. This time he was more genuine and asked about my faith, Bible verses and that."
Although they lived 9,000 miles apart, my sons The pair consider themselves a couple by all means and spend quality time on FaceTime, which they did until they first met in person in July 2022, and continue to this day.

On their first meeting, in July, Bond traveled 32 hours from Wellington, New Zealand, to meet Sarah at her home in Suffolk, Virginia: "It felt like a dream, when I first met Luke," she said, "an experience I'd never felt before - that first hug was Something we've been waiting for for so long, so you can only imagine how exciting this moment was when we ran, and gave each other a hug", she recalled, beaming, on this happy day.
"To this day, that moment is still in my head," she added.
Sarah didn't leave her hand behind, and the next time, in December, she was the one who made the long trek to New Zealand to spend Christmas with Luke and his family.
To her surprise, Bond got down on one knee and proposed during a family camping trip.
"It was super exciting, because the distance was something we had to resolve - do we want to spend our lives together - we decided that because we don't want to keep going back and forth," she said.
While they think about where they will settle, the couple definitely plans to live together one day.
For now, they will have to rely on the trust they have in each other until Luke flies to the US again to meet Sarah and her family in April.
Speaking about their engagement, and the long distance, Sarah said: "The important thing is to trust each other, especially when you're far away one of the other.
There will always be small thoughts that can pop into our heads, because to manage effective communication from such a distance, it's not exactly a simple story."
