Soon more choices for swimming lengths in the Bordeaux metropolis.
Last Friday, during the metropolitan council, the “Plan Piscines” of Bordeaux Métropole was reinforced, bringing it to a total amount of 32 million euros.
In concrete terms, seven new basins will open their doors by 2025, including three this year.
The future Blanquefort swimming pool, built in collaboration with the neighboring town of Parempuyre and that of Cenon, will be inaugurated in 2023. The interior spaces of the Mérignac nautical stadium should also welcome the public from February.
The arrival of new basins will then follow in Bruges and Bordeaux-Belcier by 2024, then in Lormont and Pessac in 2025.
