In the video: Liraz Natan, who worked as an assistant in Carmel Maoda's kindergarten, was sent to prison for two years (Editor: Aviad Belali)
The parole board decided today (Tuesday) to shorten the sentence of Liraz Natan, Carmel Ma'oda's kindergarten assistant, from two years to one year.
This, after the state did not object to the release.
She is expected to be released from Neve Tirzah prison in about a month.
Nicole Daniel, whose son was in kindergarten, was outraged by the decision: "The feelings are hard. I was surprised that the state supported the release and reduced the committee's ability to decide otherwise. The message is terrible - it is more important to rehabilitate the prisoner than to worry about justice and the protection of the children."
"In the beginning, when two years were set, I kept my head down and kept quiet, but she didn't even accept that. My child was diagnosed by a psychiatrist who says that his trauma and distress are not over. And she is being released without blinking," she added.
