Today (31st) around 2pm, several vehicles collided on Hongmeigu Road, Dawei, involving at least 1 taxi and 5 private cars.
The driver and passenger of one of the Benz abandoned the car and fled.
According to the news at the scene, the incident involved the operation of the Hong Kong Island Regional Crime Squad of the police. A plainclothes police officer appeared to pursue him, and then captured a South Asian man and subdued him to the ground.
The man was arrested on suspicion of "crazy driving", "driving without a license" and "driving without third-party insurance".
Eyewitnesses described the arrested person as "large", but there was no resistance when he was arrested.
Witness Mr. Li described the arrested South Asian man as "big" and did not resist when he was subdued.

Mr. Li, who witnessed the arrest of the suspect by the police, said that he passed by the scene on a bicycle at 2:00 p.m. when he heard noise nearby. A plainclothes policeman ran in front of him, chasing others, and three plainclothes policemen subdued a South Asian man to the ground.
Li said that the "large" South Asian man did not resist at the time. One police officer knelt on the man, another police officer handcuffed him, and another retractable baton was placed on the ground.
At about 4:30 p.m., the police escorted the arrested male suspect back to his private car, searched the car for about 10 minutes and brought him back to the police car, and then arranged for him to be sent to the hospital by ambulance for treatment.
Detectives also seized a bag of evidence, including clothing and banknotes.
Three people were injured in the incident, including the arrested male suspect, who was the driver of one of the private cars involved in the case; the other two injured were a female driver and a female passenger of other private cars.
After the incident, a Benz private car was parked in the middle of two traffic lanes, the bonnet was dented and damaged, parts were scattered, and there were other cars in the front, rear, left, and right sides.
