The "Luka Party" drove a Mercedes yesterday afternoon (January 31) to escape from arrest. It drove from Festival Walk in Kowloon Tong to Hongmeigu Road in Tai Wai and crashed. There were 4 men and 1 woman in the car. Only the 34-year-old Pakistani male driver was arrested.
The police said that after further investigation, one of the passengers, a male passenger surnamed Fang (24 years old), was arrested last night in a unit in Yuet Ching House, Kai Ching Estate, Kai Tak. He was suspected of "conspiracy to defraud". Detained for investigation; 2 male and 1 female accomplices are still at large in the case.
According to the police, at around 2:06 yesterday afternoon, officers from the Hong Kong Island Regional Intelligence Unit carried out anti-pickpocketing and credit card theft operations in the area of Tat Chee Avenue in Kowloon Tong.
During the period, it was discovered that the man surnamed Fang was acting suspiciously. When he stepped forward to stop the investigation, he immediately boarded the private car driven by the Pakistani driver and fled towards Lion Mountain.
The officers boarded the police car and inspected the area in the same direction. When they arrived at the junction of Hongmeigu Road and Tin Sum Street in Tai Wai, they found a traffic accident ahead.
After a preliminary investigation, the police suspected that the suspicious car drove to Hongmeigu Road and tried to hit four private cars and a taxi ahead but failed. The four men and one woman in the car got off immediately and fled towards Tianxin Village.
After being chased by the officers, the male driver of Pakistani origin involved in the case was intercepted at the opposite side of the Secretariat of the Management Advisory Committee of the Housing Estate in Longheng Village. The three "safely drove" and arrested him; on the same night, the male passenger surnamed Fang was arrested in Qiqing Village.

In the accident, the arrested driver, a 46-year-old female driver and a 35-year-old female passenger were injured and sent to Prince of Wales Hospital for treatment.
