Extraordinary: the ruling party opens another source of conflict with the opposition in Deputies now for retirees

2023-01-31T22:53:14.643Z

As part of the strategy to expose Together for Change, the FdT convened the Social Welfare commission for this Wednesday to discuss the moratorium, which already has an opinion. Expose Raverta.

With the plan to pressure and expose Juntos por el Cambio, the ruling party of Deputies called an informative meeting of the Social Welfare commission to discuss the new retirement moratorium;

a project that

has already been ruled by that commission and must be voted on at the venue.

But the objective, they say, is to relate the "consequences" of not having been approved in the December session, which fell because the opposition did not provide a quorum.

"You simply have to remember the situation experienced by retirees and the importance of dealing with and approving this law," said a legislator from the Frente de Todos.

"Clearly they do it to try to make us pay the political cost for not treating it," considered, in turn, a radical deputy.

It is difficult to find other cases of commissions that meet to discuss issues already discussed if they are not going to make changes.

But the maneuver is part of

a strategy of the ruling party to put pressure on the opposition

, with which they are submerged in a parliamentary contest as a result of the Impeachment of the Supreme Court.

JxC assured that it will not give a quorum to deal with any of the extraordinary projects until the attack against the Highest Court is over.

For its part, the Frente de Todos decided - in a meeting of commission presidents with its block leader Germán Martínez - that they are going to

convene all the commissions they direct so that the opposition "faces" due to the "legislative paralysis

".

The meeting, chaired by official Marisa Uceda, is scheduled for 11 am and will have the participation of eight guests.

Among them, the defender of the Third Age, Eugenio Semino and the head of the ANSES, the camporista Fernanda Raverta.

In the previous Raverta he also pointed out against JxC for having an "undemocratic attitude" and recognized that .

"It seems to me that in addition to extortion it is undemocratic. Even when you do not agree with the law, a deputy must come down and explain why he does not agree," said Raverta.

And he added: "We are evaluating it,

it is not easy to get this type of law with a DNU, but we are evaluating it

."

The project proposes a payment plan system so that people who meet the age but do not have the years of sufficient contributions can access retirement.

It is about 800 thousand Argentines.

It already has half a sanction from the Senate and had a commission opinion in Deputies in November.

"Within JxC there are 10 different blocks. Some have a popular root and I calculate that they will agree. Others, more on the right that compete with (Javier) Milei will think that it should not be dealt with,"

Casaretto.

In

Together for Change they know that it is a "trap"

but they have not finished discussing whether they will participate in the commission or leave the space empty.

"It is already a closed issue, it has been ruled

," considered a legislator from the opposition coalition.

"It's a trap, yes, but you have to go," said another.

The final decision will be made together in a PvC meeting.

They must also decide what they will do in

the second meeting planned for Wednesday: the Budget and Finance meeting

.

The commission chaired by Carlos Heller will begin to discuss Sergio Massa's project that establishes a technological monotribute - "

Monotech

" - so that freelancers can earn up to 30 thousand dollars a year.

It will be an informative meeting with the presence of officials from the Economy and the head of the Federal Administration of Public Revenues (AFIP), Carlos Castagneto.
