Ownership of Haifa Port will be transferred to the Indian business group Gautam Adani, which made the purchase in July for approximately four billion shekels.

The new group will hold the concession to operate the port until 2054.

The port of Haifa is the second largest in Israel in terms of handling containers, and the largest port in Israel in transporting passengers and tourist cruise ships.

Adni was included in the list of 100 most influential people in the world for 2022 by Time magazine.

In the last week, the owner of the new port suffered sharp declines of about 15% following a report published in the US, according to which he performed a series of accounting exercises.
